It's hard to see how beautiful Katniss is and with her extra toes there is just more of her to love and for her to hug you with! Katniss was returned to the rescue to no fault of her own last year after 9 months. Her new family had a major change and couldn’t keep her. So she’s ready for her new furever family this time.

She's a super shy one until she gets to know you. Katniss is VERY attached to her foster mom, but scared of lots of kitties. However, she's recently started to flirt with a couple of our male kitties, so she is starting to come out of her shell. She has the most spectacular green eyes.

She 100% needs a VERY quiet home. A senior home with one, two or no kitties would be great, but a minimum of a 30 day trial run is mandatory.

Our girl was saved at about a year old along with her 5 polydactyl babies in 2020 by the ALWAYS AWESOME trapper Lyndsay Lynn. Katniss's babies all went to another rescue and were adopted back in 2020. Katniss was very scared at the time. She finally got to go to that new home in 2022. Then unfortunately returned late last year. She's finally ready again. Ohhhh would I LOVE to keep her but it's just not fair to her. We are hoping she gets a HERO adopter that will give her unconditional love and extra TLC to get her over this last hump again and to a confident kitty once and for all in a furrever home.

Katniss is about 5 years old now. She is fully vetted, healthy, about 6lbs and microchipped of course. She LOVES to be pet but it might take a bit with her next home after the initial petting when dropping her off.

Shhh don't tell any of the others this, she's one of my all time favorite cats. She's really special. Does anyone have a spare room that she can start out in and continue to blossom? We'd really like to get her in a home as soon as possible.
